On 6 December 2016, the Embassy of Hungary Addis Ababa organised a meeting for the Ethiopian professionals who studied in Hungary. At the event an Israeli movie was screened under the title of Red Letters. The screening was followed by a coctail reception, where the members of the alumni community explained that with the Hungarian partners they are working on implementing business plans in the future. In the meeting the Ambassador and the attendees agreed that they will set up the Hungarian Business Council in Addis Ababa at the beginning of 2017.
